Description
The Department of Public Works welcomes all residents to attend its annual, FREE Open House on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave.
Visitors and their children will have the opportunity to interact with a number of Public Works vehicles and equipment, including large tandem axel trucks, an end loader and an aerial lift trick. Guests can also take a ride in a large snow plow truck.
Returning this year: Public Works will be smashing and composting your old pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns! This is a responsible and exciting way to return nutrients to the soil. Remove all candles and other decorations prior to arrival. Light refreshments will be provided.
