As the leaves change and the nights grow darker, the Schaumburg area transforms into a Halloween wonderland. From whimsical displays to spine-chilling scenes, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Our Halloween Lights & Spooky Sites Guide is Sponsored by the Third-Annual Schaumburg Halloween Carnival returning to Wintrust Stadium October 18-20 & 25-27, 2024. Joining forces for the second year-in-a-row is the House of Creeps spooktacular (a local gem that started in Streamwood!) which will transform Wintrust Field, home of the Schaumburg Boomers baseball team, into a haunted house that's sure to get your heart racing. Haunted house hours will extend beyond the carnival weekend from October 28-November 2, too.
Recommended for ages 13 and up. Designated Kids Hours available for a less spooky scare for those under 13 accompanied by an adult.
Entrance to the carnival is free for all attendees. Parking is $5. House of Creeps is $17.50 on-line, $25 at the door, $10 during Kids Hours. See website for more details.

Tips for a Spooky Night Out:
- Looking for less scares?: Many of these locations still look great during the day and the animatronics are usually off.
- Dress warmly: The weather can be chilly, so bundle up!
- Bring a flashlight: Some neighborhoods may have dim lighting.
- Be respectful: Admire the decorations from a safe distance. Unless you’re directed to walk through the features, stay on the sidewalk or street.
- Donations accepted: Some of these haunts may have a box or request a food or monetary donation which goes toward providing these incredible scenes, the hardworking actors and crews, or to a charity of the home’s choosing. Bring some cash or have your Venmo ready to share the love.
