Join Us for CompSci Kids

By Rich Cortez, Computer Science Teacher at Conant High School August 24, 2019

I am very excited to announce our second year of CompSci Kids will be starting soon. CompSci Kids is an exciting program that brings kids grades 1-8 to Conant High School to learn coding. Coding is taught by dedicated high school kids that have created the entire curriculum.  The program is overseen by the lead Computer Science Teacher at CHS.

The program was developed by a group of Seniors that felt there was a gap in Computer Science Education at the grade school level. They want all kids to be as excited about programming as they are.

Sessions run for 10-12 days, 1 hour a day. Most sessions consist of Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30. Kids are broken up into 7 different rooms based on grade level and experience.
