Chose 3 words best describes you?
Kind, Friendly, and Open Minded
Besides motherhood, what other careers/opportunities have you enjoyed?
I recently became a new business owner of a children’s consignment sale called Rhea Lana of Schaumburg. I never thought I would own my own business. I truly love the idea of recycling, reusing and giving families the opportunity to consign and shop our sale and many of our items get donated. That’s what keeps me going, knowing that maybe in some small way, it might help other families.
What’s the biggest risk you ever take?
Honestly, purchasing my own business. It’s new and growing but I hope I can show my children someday that regardless of your background or skills, if you work hard and stay true to yourself, your dedication pays off and you can truly make a difference.
What quality do you most admire in a mother?
Patience and being a good listener. It can be so easy these days to get distracted. Myself included can be guilty of this. When I see a mom truly in the moment, enjoying their kids. It’s a good reminder to myself to just relax and enjoy my kids. The dishes are not going anywhere!
You have a girl and a boy and, how challenging is to raise them; what are your tricks?
I have a three-year-old daughter named Ava and a one-year old son named Bodi. My son is starting to want to play with my daughter more. So, they are now “partners in crime.” I think the hardest part is I don’t feel like there is enough of me to go around sometimes, and I think every mom feels this way. When I am having a hard day, I take a step back, deep breath and try to see the humor in it.
What are the favorite places to go with your family?
Honestly, I just love being outside, going to the park or just playing on the floor with them. I love anywhere, that I can just give them 100% of me. We love just playing silly games, tickling, singing silly songs. I love seeing them laugh.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Australia! That is on my bucket list and my husbands. We both like adventure so I think it would be the perfect place for us!
